By visiting or using the Site, you consent to the data collection and use practices described in this policy. This Policy is intended to be read with, and not to limit, our Terms of Use.

What information SBSF collects
We collect some personal information from registered users of this site.
SBSF does not knowingly collect or maintain personally identifiable information on the Site from persons under 15 years of age, and no part of our website is directed to persons under 15. If you are under 15 years of age, do not use or access the Site at any time or in any manner. If we learn that personally identifiable information of persons under 15 years of age has been collected on the Site without verified parental consent, then we will take the appropriate steps to delete this information.
To participate in SBSF, you must provide a display name, working email address, and password upon registration. We also request you provide a physical mailing address, but this is optional.
We keep track of users who have donated to SBSF and users who have offered to volunteer.
SBSF sends emails to registered users periodically throughout the rest of the year. These emails announce the volunteer opportunities, upcoing events, updates, and other information relevant to the SBSF project. You have the option (in your profile) of not receiving these emails.
We also plan to conduct surveys for registered participants that requests more detailed information about your views, opinions, involvemen, and imporessions of SBSF (if any), etc. This is completely optional, and we make every effort to store data in a way that is not personally identifiable. It is simply to help us learn a little about participating songwriters, volunteers, and attendees so that we can serve you better. Summary statistics may be used to help solicit sponsorship and funding for future SBSF events, but again, the information is not intended to be personally identifiable.
To properly use the SBSF Site and Services, you must have your browser set to accept “cookies,” which we will use to track some of your information. “Cookies” are small text files placed on the hard drive of your computer in order to store personal data relevant to your SBSF account. You have the option to set your web browser to reject cookies and if you do so some features of the Site will not work. You should check the documentation of your browser to learn how to disable “cookies.”
We employ security systems that we believe prevent most people from accessing your personal information through the Site. People who try and bypass security systems, or “hackers,” are often very skilled at breaking through security systems, though, and therefore we can make no guarantee that your information will be 100% safe.
For your own information and protection on the Site and on the Internet in general, keep in mind that whenever you voluntarily disclose personal information, that information can be collected and used by others. Similarly, if you post personal information in public places, you may receive unsolicited e-mail messages. Please think before you post any information online.
